Not much. About 3% of all microplastics found on Kosh. The amount was much lower than in a similar study of Muskoka lakes. This photo shows our student, Kaede Sorensen, exchanging the rainwater collector. It holds a month’s worth of rain. There was an interesting finding - the amount of microplastics collected had no relationship to the amount of rain collected - some months collected more microplastics, some none. That suggests that wind, not rain, is the bigger delivery system.
