President - Jennifer Cummings
I have lived full-time since 2011 on MacDonald Bay with my husband Bob and our two dogs, Guinness and Porter. I love all four seasons on the lake (except bug season) and enjoy swimming, boating, campfires, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, golfing, hiking, walking the dogs and having fun when our four grandchildren visit. I’m now retired from my career as a physiotherapist and homecare business owner. I’ve had the privilege of serving on many boards from a golf course to the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. These experiences have helped contribute to the experience I bring to the LKRA.

Treasurer - Hazel Higley

I’ve been on the LKRA executive for 35+ years and have been Treasurer for the last 30! During this time my banking industry experience has proven an invaluable asset. I’ve also held other roles on the executive including zone rep and marker program coordinator, but I guess I’m best known for my contributions to our annual regatta and being the creator of the famous “candy run”.

Secretary - Morgan Storie

I have been a resident of Kasshabog Lake for my entire life. My Grandfather built the family cottage in the 1950s, when my mom was 14 and my parents have continued to expand on its footprint as the family has grown to accommodate the three generations of Kosh kids. I’m a 20+ year seasoned Human Resources Executive with an MBA and experience working in Financial and Professional Services and the Entertainment Media space.

Membership - Jami Sampson

There is something truly special about Lake Kasshabog, and I’m honored to give back to this community as Membership Director. My family and I have been making memories on 'Kosh' for nearly a decade; you’ll often find the Sampsons, including our dogs, Frankie and Clifford, enjoying the water at our place in Stoney Lake Bay. We built our home here specifically to be a gathering hub, as there’s nothing I love more than a full house and a lake view. Helping others discover the beauty of our shoreline is my passion—both through the association and my work as a Waterfront Realtor with Royal LePage ProAlliance Realty.

Environment - Dane Freiter

I am a third-generation Kasshabog’er and new contributor to the LKRA following my recent graduation from the University of Guelph’s Environmental Engineering program. My enjoyment of fishing, hiking, and canoeing have given me a strong appreciation for the natural environment and the cottagers who enjoy and rely upon it. With this background and my return to the Peterborough area, I intends to support the LKRA’s environmental initiatives and promote awareness amongst residents in the coming years.

Board Member - Jane Hamilton

I am a new cottager/resident on Kasshabog Lake (October 2024) and enjoy kayaking, birdwatching, time on the dock with family and friends, and connecting with nature. As a longtime communications professional (now retired) and passionate volunteer, I am co-chair of the Arctic Rose Foundation and a curling coach with Special Olympics Burlington. I have served on multiple boards and am committed to community, inclusion, and reconciliation. With a strong background in governance and a love of the outdoors, I am excited get to know the lake community and to contribute to the LKRA.

Board Member - Gary Kindree

I’m the new kid on the block. Upon retiring after 44 years of dentistry, my partner and I moved here in the spring of 2019, renovated, and now live here year-round. Having served on many boards, I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to LKRA.

Board Member - Harry Major

I have been on the lake since 1999, and my kids still call Kasshabog Lake home. I moved here full-time three years ago. I’m a software engineer and currently serve as a VP at an AI company in Ottawa, working remotely. I also worked for 18 years at RIM and have served on several boards. I’m looking forward to helping out.

Board Member - André Métivier

As a Peterborough resident since 1991, my wife Krista and I joined the Kosh community in 2018, becoming the proud owners of Island 2 in Portage Bay. As a retired teacher and now a licensed mortgage agent, I bring a passion for thoughtful development, lake stewardship, and community building. With deep roots in education and a love for the Kawarthas, I am eager to contribute to the future of Lake Kasshabog and connect with more neighbours. My wife and I share a blended family with three children and four grandchildren.

Living on the lake since 2017 has given me a true love for the lifestyle, the people and the unique experiences that come with being part of this special area. I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve on the lake association board and to give back to a community that means so much to me, while helping contribute to ideas and initiatives that enhance the experience for residents and support the continued enjoyment of lake living. As a Lakefront Real Estate agent, I also bring a unique perspective and understanding of waterfront living, which allows me to support clients, while sharing my passion for the lifestyle and community we are fortunate to enjoy.
