Our impact is minimal. What happens in Kasshabog Lake stays in Kasshabog Lake.

Kasshabog Lake is a bulge in the North River that starts north of us, flows south through Marmora to the Trent River. When we compare the North River entering our lake (in MacDonald Bay) with microplastics in the water leaving our lake (at the Dam), we conclude that few microplastics enter and few leave. This is because most microplastics do not reach the Dam but instead sink into the sediment or wash up onto our shores.
