On Saturday, October 8th between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. a Fall Market took place in the Community Hall/ Library.  Seven vendors were on hand to showcase their creations.  Unfortunately, attendance was lower than expected but lots of great brainstorming about 2023 marketplaces took place among the vendors!  Here are a few of the vendors.

The 2023 Dock Sale will take place on Saturday, August 19th. Last year's event was a first. Many offered typical garage sale items but others also sold furniture and larger ticket finds. Best part of the day? People meeting new people within the lake community!  Watch this site for more details as they become available!

Fanwort Workshop

Unfortunately, the original Fanwort Workshop on Sunday, August 21st, 2022 had to be canceled due to the weather. We were able, however, to stage a last-minute make-up workshop on Sunday, August 28, 2022 in MacDonald Bay. Here is a report on the workshop with some tips on how to safely remove Fanwort.  For more information check out the Fanwort write-up in the Invasive Species Section of this website.

Maker's Market

The Summer Maker’s Market organized by Haley Bates and hosted by Stoney Point Marina on Saturday, August 27th was a fun day for all. The weather was beautiful and lots of people turned out to shop at the 9 vendors and pick up calendars or pay their dues at the association table. It was nice to have an event in the west end of the lake. Let’s do this again next year!

Yoga

Woman practicing yoga

This past summer many residents enjoyed a gentle 1-hour Hatha-style yoga class each Sunday morning at 9:30 am at the Community Hall/Library with Shannon Thomlinson. The classes are now over, but hopefully, Shannon will be back next summer for more stretching and strengthening Yoga. In the meantime, Namaste 🙏🏻
